A full stack web developer living in Bristol. I love to code and create things. After working in corporate software development for a while, I'm now enjoying freelance web development. I love meeting new people, understanding their business, and crafting elegant solutions to solve problems.
Perpetual tea drinker, avid science fiction reader. When I'm not coding I like to spend my time outdoors - slacklining, climbing, skydiving. That sort of stuff.
I extensively research your industry to best discover what your audience will love. We'll discuss your ideas, so that I can get a feel for what you want, & I'll share my insights and expertise. From here, I'm able to create the ground-work that ensures the completed product is perfect.
At this stage, I'll convert what I've learnt into ideas, creating wireframes and mockups to give you an idea of the finished product. As time goes on, more people are viewing content on mobile devices - I make all of my designs responsive as standard, allowing you to reach all audiences, regardless of display size.
Here's where everything come's to life! I love to hand code everything, but am familiar with multiple frameworks and technologies too. I'll create your website using the most appropriate stack of tools, utilising existing plugins and frameworks where possible, or creating custom ones to suit your purpose where necessary.
They'll damage your SEO and provide a poor user experience. I'll only recommend super speedy, dedicated servers that allow people to view your site as quickly as possible. Already have your own server but aren't happy? I can optimisie your setup and give advice on how to best use the resources available.

Tom is a highly skilled developer who understood the needs of our charity and suggested improvements to our website that we hadn’t even thought of. He was able to resolve the technical issues with it that had confounded others and we are delighted with the results!
Tom was incredibly patient in understanding what I wanted, and really went out of his way to tweak things until I was totally happy. I love the new look and feel of the website, and the much improved repertoire section has proved to be very useful. To anyone thinking of working with Tom, you won't be disappointed.
I'm currently available for freelance work, and would love to hear about your project.
Take a couple of minutes to tell me about it.
